Families flock to the Jersey Shore in the summer to enjoy the beautiful beaches, bustling boardwalks, amazing food and so much more but did you know Cape May County also has summer camp offerings second to none? Here are some of our favorites.

NFL Flag Football

Presented by Youth Gridiron Academy. Open to boys and girls from 7-14 years old... all experience levels welcome! At NFL Flag Football Summer Camp, athletes get an understanding of offensive and defensive positions and plays and are encouraged to perform these skills in scrimmages and game-play situations in a safe, fun and competitive environment.

Campers will work on skills for quarterback, wide receiver, running back, defensive back and linebacker positions and will practice receiving, passing, defending and route running.

NFL Flag Football Summer Camp is appropriate for players from beginner to advanced. Groups are separated by age and ability to ensure all players flourish in a positive, competitive learning environment while improving and having a great time!

Youth Gridiron Academy is an affiliate of NFL FLAG, powered by USA Football and is also part of NFL PLAY 60, the league's youth health and fitness campaign.

All participants receive an NFL Team-Branded Reversible Jersey (team of their choice), NFL Flag Football Belt & Flags, USA Football Player Membership, Player's Insurance Coverage

NFL Flag Football Summer Camp

The Wetlands Institute

Spend a week discovering the New Jersey Shore in a fun and hands-on way! Engage in science experimentation and exploration, play games, go on field trips, explore the beach, create arts and crafts, and much more all while enjoying a new theme each week: Fins, Scales, & Tails: A Fishes Creature Feature, Eco-Trails and Treasures, Oceanopolis, The Great Outback Survival Games, Terrapins to Toads: Community Defenders, Making a Splash with Marine Mammals, Dragons, Damsels, and Butter? Oh, Fly!, Mainland to Marshes: Explore the Shore, and Rock Fossil Stone!

For children ages 5-13, programs are held weekly from June 26 – August 21, 2019 and include field trips and beach days. Children age 4 can enjoy special programs during the weeks of June 26, July 8, July 22, August 5 and August 19, 2019. Children age 4 attend programs daily from 9:30am – 12:00pm and children ages 5-13 attend programs daily from 9:30am – 2:00pm.

Wetlands Institute Summer Camp

Cape May County Zoo

Join us this summer as we celebrate our 30th year of Zoo Camp! Each year the Cape May County Park and Zoo strives to provide a fun and educational summer camp for school age children. We have 10-weeks of camp consisted of different themes and activities suited for various age groups such as: Shark Week, Jr. Zookeeper Week, Wild About Art Week and so much more.

Zoo Camp is available for school age children ages 5-15. All camps are half day consisting of an AM and PM session.

Cape May County Zoo Camp

Wildwood Aviation Museum

“What do I want to be when I grow up?” It’s not too early to start exploring! Naval Air Station Wildwood (NASW) Aviation Museum’s Aviation Career Academy will motivate young students to start thinking about the future…NOW! Activities for this one week camp will stress the importance of a strong background in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) skills. This is a fun, hands-on educational experience for our students to EXPLORE real world careers.

Open to students age 9-12 years old. Tuition includes snacks, drinks, pizza party and camp t-shirt.

Wildwood Aviation Museum Summer Camp

Nature Center - New Jersey Audubon

New Jersey Audubon looks forward to sharing the wonders of nature with your child this summer. We are committed to guiding your child in outdoor adventures that foster a deeper connection with the natural world and that support S.T.E.A.M learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) through hands-on experiences.

NJ Audubon’s Nature Center of Cape May has a long history of connecting children of all ages with nature by exploring, discovering and enjoying our harbor, ocean, beach, fields and gardens. There is much to learn from the diverse habitats of Cape May, and our quest for knowledge is never dull when pulling a seine net through the water or walking with magnifying glass in hand. We explore a different topic each week throughout the summer, building upon knowledge each day with a talented team of Teacher Naturalists. Our staff is committed to guiding your child in outdoor adventures that foster a deeper connection with the natural world and while being engaging, fun and informative.

We offer camps for Pre-K through teens. Please note that 3-year-olds must have reached their third birthday before the date they are attending and must be toilet trained.

Nature Center - New Jersey Audubon Summer Camp

Maverick Art Studio

3 or 5 day camps offered in Cape May Court House and Sea Isle City. Your 5-12 year old artist(s) may come for just one day, all week, or spend the entire summer with us! Each week will include new projects using a variety of mediums such as clay, mosaic, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, mixed media and more!

Pembroke Farm Riding Camp

Summer Camp at Pembrook Farm is designed for beginning through advanced riders. Each student will have a riding lesson every day. Each student will care for the needs of the horse or pony; grooming, stall cleaning, and care of tack will also be daily activities.

Weekly sessions are held from June through August. Sessions are daily, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.

The Handwork Studio

Whether you have a budding fashionista with her own sense of style and design or a crafty kid who craves making a one-of-a-kind creature, our wide array of needle-arts based craft camp programs may be just the thing! The Handwork Studio camps will envelop your child in creativity, while our fabulous team of counselors cheer them on, helping kids build on old skills or learn brand new ones.

Shore Sports Camps

Shore Soccer Camp: The soccer camp is structured to teach individual technique and small group tactics. A coaches demonstration will be followed by a warm-up. Specific drills and exercises designed to reinforce daily teaching themes will be run as well as small-sided league games.

Shore Multi Sports Camp: The multi-sports camp’s primary purpose is to create an appreciation and enjoyment of athletics, a sampling of multiple sports, team work, social skills, leadership, and sportsmanship. The program is designed to provide instruction under the tutelage of staff and guest coaches in: soccer, basketball, team handball, touch football, rink soccer, yoga, tennis baseball, ultimate frisbee, rink hockey, volleyball, track & field, fitness & speed training, capture the flag, and other sports as well as gross motor skill activities.

Shore Basketball Camp: The basketball camp is designed to teach fundamental skills and strategies. Specific drills designed to enhance daily teaching themes will be organized as well as half court and full sided league games.

Summertime Adventures at Cape May Tech

The Summertime Adventures for Kids program is a “hands-on” summer experience for young people ages 9 to 14. Classes are planned for Monday through Thursday from 8:45 am to 12:30 pm, for each one week session. Read more about course descriptions, dates and ages in the chart below.

Class offerings have been designed to share exciting, creative, enjoyable, and educational experiences in the areas of arts/crafts, culinary, engineering, games, law/ public safety, marine, recreation, video production and more. Each class curriculum has been tailored to designated age levels and a similar variety of classes will be offered in two, one-week sessions in July.

Cape May County Technical High School teachers will staff and administer all classes held on campus at the Cape May County Technical School District.

Summertime Adventures Camp at Cape May Tech

Kitchen Wizards

Kitchen Wizards offers fun and educational cooking classes for children and adults. Kitchen Wizards’ summer camps encourage creativity, patience, and listening skills. Students learn to take pride in their work and gain a skill that they can use for a lifetime.

We offer baking, cooking, candy-making programs summer camps. Kids even bring home the recipes so they can reproduce their creations for friends and family. We ignite a love of the culinary arts in our young chefs.
